Flank Steak (1-2 pounds)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoons Bourbon
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
2 Tablespoons Canola or Vegetable Oil
2 teaspoons sugar
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
*or substitute one tbsp minced garlic
*or substitute one tbsp minced garlic
Bald Man Rub
- Preheat your grill to high.
- Pierce each side of your steak 10-15 times with a fork to allow marinade to penetrate into the meat.
- Combine the flank steak and all ingredients in a resealable plastic bag and mix to coat the steak. Refrigerate for a minimum of four hours and not more than 24 hours, turning the bag a couple of times to insure even marinating.
- Remove the steak from the plastic bag and pat dry with a paper towel. Season the steak liberally on both sides with Bald Man Rub.
- Place the steak on the grill and cook 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare, turning once. Internal temperature for medium rare is 130 degrees. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Cut the steak against the grain in very thin slices.
Serve it with some Bald Man rubbed sweet corn on those warm summer nights.
